Staff Update
Kate Adams has been promoted to the newly created position of Executive Managing Director of Client Relations, effective immediately. She will report directly to the President and CEO. In this role, Kate's experience, relationships, and steady leadership will deepen the Episcopal Church Foundation's client service and mission to strengthen The Episcopal Church.
This newly created role reflects Kate’s deep institutional knowledge of ECF, her four decades of experience in financial and resource development for nonprofit institutions, and the trusted relationships she has built with our clients, partners, and Board over nearly two decades. As we continue to grow and deepen our engagement with the institutions and communities we serve, this position will ensure that client relationships remain central to our strategy and that a dedicated senior leader focuses on strengthening our partnerships and identifying new opportunities for collaboration.
Kate has been with ECF since 2007, most recently serving as Interim Chief of Staff, where she has supported the President, Board, and staff across all aspects of the Foundation’s strategy development and implementation. She has been instrumental in aligning our emerging and developing program initiatives, including as Project Director for ECF’s Lilly Endowment Initiative, “From Economic Challenges to Transformational Opportunities” — work that speaks directly to the kind of client-centered, mission-driven leadership this new role calls for.
Prior to joining ECF, Kate was Vice President of the Church Pension Group’s Strategy & Service Development group, where she designed new services across all business units, and she previously served as a Vice President at Commonfund, providing investment management services to nonprofit institutions.
Kate holds an MBA in Finance and an MSW, both from Fordham University. A lifelong Episcopalian, she is an active member of St. James Church in Manhattan.
