The Program
The Episcopal Church Foundation’s (ECF) Fellowship Partners Program is one of the Foundation’s flagship programs and is critical to extending our mission of supporting the ministry, lay leadership, and communities of The Episcopal Church. Since its establishment in 1964, the program has grown over six decades into a distinguished network of scholars and ministry leaders. Its main purpose is to strengthen the Church's leadership capacity by providing financial support to qualified Fellows engaged in high-impact work.
Values Based
The ECF Fellowship Partners Program is rooted in our history of active, targeted support for Creation Care, Inclusive Leadership, Racial Justice, and Expansive Community. ECF Fellows embody our values, purpose, and efforts to positively impact the communities we serve. We are proud of the Fellows program’s longevity and impact, and we continually seek to strengthen our support for the Fellows community.
The Community
The Fellowship Partners Community is among the program's most significant strengths. When a Fellow is selected through a rigorous process, they join a vibrant, engaged community of diverse, committed leaders. Central to the program's mission are the vibrant alumni, whose collaborative spirit fosters innovation, creativity, and faithful leadership across the Church.
Throughout the fellowship year, participants are intentionally connected with alumni Fellows and veteran church leaders whose expertise aligns with their vocational interests, ministry context, or field of study. The goal of building community is to inspire and amplify the impact of our Fellows' work.
As each new class joins this expanding network, Fellows gain access to the collective wisdom, experience, and imagination of leaders committed to the future of The Episcopal Church. Together, this gathering of leaders exemplifies the kind of collaboration that can help shape "a more networked Church."*
